Football, Football and more Football

I do really enjoy watching football. I have to boys that play football and I go to every game and LOVE it. But that is where it ends for me. I live in a house of men and boys. I'm very out numbered at home. I'm starting to HATE football. It's on all the time. All day Saturday, all day Sunday and some how they find it every night of the week too. enough is enough!!!! Can we please watch something else I feel like I'm going crazy. I do end up getting a ton of house work done because I don't want to watch football. Today I put up the Christmas trees, dusted just about anything that needed dusted, did a bunch of laundry, folded and put it way, picked up the kid's rooms plus a ton of other things. All just because football was on the TV alllllll day! I'm sure I'm not the only one out there with this problem, but in my house I do feel all alone. I'm the only one that really doesn't want to watch football 24/7. Please can we watch just a little bit of HGTV :)

Rodent Control

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Victor® Rodent Control. All opinions are 100% mine.

We live out in the country with acres of Michigan State land all around us. In the fall about this time of year when the weather turns and it starts getting cold the little mice start to show up. I think they are cold and are looking for a nice warm place to live for the winter. I guess I can understand they are just trying to make it till spring. But I do not like them, yuck! We have what is called a boat basement. The only way to get into it is from the outside and it's only for storage plus it has the furnace in it. Because it has the furnace it is warm in there. You can guess where I'm going with this. Since it is warm the mice think it's the ideal place to live for the winter. We have tried all kinds of ways to keep them out or to kill them once they get in. Nothing really works. In the spring I find all kinds of mice droppings all over the place. We store our patio furniture down there and I have to give everything a good cleaning in the spring. Not fun!

I was reading about a rodent repellent that uses high-frequency sound waves to drive the mice away. The Victor® Sonic PestChaser® PRO they also has more then 20 years of research and proven field results behind them.

This sounded interesting to me so I needed to know how ultrasonic repellents works. First I read about the non-repetitive sound waves which are a high frequency sound waves. The sound waves repel rodents and prevent them from invading your home. Second it mimics the sound from a alpha male rodent. The sound from this alpha male will discourage other rodents from inhabiting a territory.

If you find droppings anywhere around your home you have a rodent problem. Give the
Victor® Sonic PestChaser® PRO a try to rodent proof your home

Tofurky & Gravy Soda by Jones Soda Co.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Jones Soda. All opinions are 100% mine.

A couple of weeks ago I received a message in my email about trying Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda . I thought why not. I have 4 boys and I'm sure they would love to help me out. They love Jones Sodas already so they would be great taste testers for a new flavor. On Saturday I went to my mail box and I found a bright green box with my sample and fun turkey hat. On Sunday everyone was home so I took pictures of everyone with the soda and turkey hat on. My oldest son just loved the turkey hat. He works at a local grocery store and will be working the day before Thanksgiving and can't wait to wear the turkey hat to work that day. I'll have to stop in and see him with the hat on working. The other boys are fighting over who will wear it on Thanksgiving day. Next I went in and took out a small glass for each of us to sample the Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda. I have to say I was very worried about what it would taste like. The color really looked like gravy. I'm sorry to say we didn't really like it and I don't think we will be buying any in the future. My boys love Green Apple and Cotton Candy flavored Jones Sodas. I guess they like their soda's sweet. I feel bad that we didn't like it but we sure had fun doing our taste testing.

We have a new Kitty

On Tuesday like any other Tuesday I went to work. Little did I know I would be coming home with a very cute, very small kitty. One of the other girls at work came in tell us about the kitty that cryed on her door step all night. They already have a cat and a dog so their wasn't room in their house for another animal. She wanted to know if I would like to have a kitty for my family. For some reason I said yes. We went that afternoon over to the barn that her husband had taken the kitty to. I had my fingers crossed that it was still there. As soon as we stepped out the the car we saw the little kitty and heard the little kitty with the big meow. She is now very happy and at home here with us. She has everyone in this family catering to her every need. The boys ended up calling her Smokei (with a "i" because it's a girl) because of the beautiful gray color.

Dirt Devil Holiday Shopping Guide

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dirt Devil. All opinions are 100% mine.

2009dirtdevilguide_250x250
I don't have a dirty house but my house seems to have lots of stuff on the floor all the time. I guess it has to do with 4 kids not taking their shoes off like they should. I seem to have to vacuum everyday. It might not be the whole house but it's always part of the house. I like to walk around with bare feet and I can't stand it when the floor is dirty. We have a old vacuum that is heavy and it's a canister that I have to pull around. I call it the pig. I was working on doing a little Christmas list to give to My Hubby and thought about a new vaccuum.

I thought I could check out vacuums on the good old Internet. I came across the Dirt Devil Holiday Buying Guide and it was a big help. I was able to find out what Dirt Devil offers and see which one would be best for me. One of the best things is they offer Free Shipping. Love that!

I love shopping online. It is just so easy and I don't have to even leave my house. Remember the good old days when you would go to half a dozen stores to look for what you wanted. Now with online shopping I can check out those stores plus many more that I would of never known about. Many now offer Free Shipping.

The Dirt Devil Holiday Buying Guide will help you with all your Dirt Devil question and show all the great products they have to offer. I was thinking this could be a great gift for my mother-in-law too. Please go check out the Dirt Devil Holiday Buying guide.

XEROX is doing something special for soldiers

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

Peanut Butter Blossoms Cookies

This once again came from my friends over at Better Homes and Gardens. I just can't say enough about the wonderful emails I have been getting from them. I have not made these cookies yet. Anything with chocolate and peanut butter will be loved at my house. Maybe I'll make them for Thanksgiving to take over to my SILs.

Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Milk chocolate kisses or stars
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl beat shortening and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour.

2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in the 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are firm and bottoms are lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into each cookie's center. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool. Makes 54 cookies.

To store: Place in layers separated by waxed paper in an airtight container; cover. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Asian Cooking by Sun-Bird

I love Asian food so does My Hubby and Little guy. I have tried more then once to make a good authentic Asian dinner and it just didn't taste the same. My Little Guy could eat egg drop soup everyday and be a very happy kid.

I have heard that there is a very good authentic Asian seasoning mixes by Sun-Bird that can make all the difference.

Yets say you have a taste for Chinese Stir Fry, Sizzling Kung Pao Chicken, no problems. You don't need a lot of time or fancy tools. You just need Sun-Bird authentic Asian Seasoning Mixes. Sound pretty easy to me. I think I could do this.

I guess just one taste and you will be hooked. That is why Sun-Bird is America's #1 Asian Seasoning.

Asian chefs choose Sun-Bird. Imaging what you can do with the Asian sauce mixes. Soup mixes and classic 3-step meal kits.

Stir fry fresh sirloin with Sun-Bird Mongolian Beef seasoning mix for a robust and flavorful dinner.

Try Sun-Bird General Tso's seasoning mix to spice up weekday chicken.

Stir up a pot rich and delicious of Sun-Bird Egg Drop Soup a big favorite in our house.

Okay I'm sold where can I get this wonderful seasoning mix and sauces. Well it can't get much easier then at your local grocery store.
